If so, when exactly? Hypothetically speaking too. You don't have to factor in all these statements that point to buuhan>ssj3 gogeta I think it would've been cool to see a close fight between gogeta and base super buu with gogeta winning. I already have him stronger than Gotenks Boo for one thing.

Chrome Favourite Manga One Punch Man	As awesome as Vegetto is, the existence of Potara is a bit excessive, so I kind of wish Toei hadn't beaten Toriyama to doing a Goku/Vegeta Fusion Dance. I'd have liked to see "here's Goku and Vegeta doing the same thing as the kids but better" in the manga.

Chrome	I always liked gogeta in GT at his ssj4 level, and I like to think ssj4 gogeta is far superior to ssj (all forms) vegito. This means that for me I would have left it as is, and had no gogeta in dbz. However it would have been cool if goku and vegeta tried the dance first, failed at the fight, then used potara fusion to a success. This is keeping in mind this would be a inferior gogeta. I saw M12 before seeing any of the Boo Saga, so he holds preferance for me over Vegetto. With that being said I am glad to see them kept in different continuities and don't see a need for two fusion characters from the same source. Vegetto fills the role just fine for me, main story wise.

Toei, one of the heads of the series already made gogeta stronger than janemba whom is stated to be stronger than hildegarn. Hildegarn destroyed gohan with even greater ease than boo w/ gotenks absorbed. Toriyama said that he had planned to have goku and vegeta do the dance, but toei beat him to it. If toei didnt create gogeta, the fusion dance version of vegito wouldve beaten boo w/ gohan absorbed instead. If Toei didnt beat toriyama in the creation of gogeta, the best and most obvious place to introduce him would be during the fight against boo w/ gohan absorbed.

Either that, or when Toriyama was writing the Boo arc, he was conflicted and couldn't decide so he put evidence for both sides. ;-p
